After being closed for five years after the enactment of a stringent new fire code, the Greenwich Odeum reopened on January 26, 2013, fully compliant and ready to begin a new era of exceptional performances. In its first incarnation, the Odeum was a thriving performing arts theater, from October 1994 to 2007. And the opening in 1994 resurrected a 1926 theater building that opened as a vaudeville house and evolved into a movie theater before closing in 1990 when it could no longer compete with the multi-screen theaters and video stores.
Visit the Odeum's website at www.theodeum.org for up to date information on performances, and to buy tickets.
